AA.VV
The history of Austrian architecture is typically characterized by both coherent narratives of development and individual moments that seem to exist beyond the constraints of any historical canon. Austrian Architecture in the 20th and 21st Century uses ten thematic and chronological episodes as guides through the Austrian architecture of the last 150 years to reveal its continuities and discontinuities, opening the way to divergent historical interpretations. The focus is not only on presenting individual structures, but rather depicting architecture with all of its many connections to the larger worlds of culture, technology, and society.
