This issue features work by architect Diébédo Francis Kéré, a native Burkina Faso native who is educated and living in Europe. It presents projects in both European countries and the United States, as well as relevant interventions made in various African countries, such as Sudan, Mali, Mozambique, and his homeland. Through his work, Kéré expresses the search for an approach with a deeply intercultural understanding, while his primary concerns have to do with environmental responsibility and eradicating poverty, whether through locally sourced materials or creating low-cost yet resilient structures.
