Los autores de este libro unieron esfuerzos y juntos han publicado los resultados de sus investigaciones en artúculos sobre la fotografía de Emilio Díaz, Max T. Vargas, los hermanos Carlos y Miguel Vargas, el Observatorio Astronómico de Carmen Alto y Martín Chambi en revistas como La Ciudad ( Arequipa), Humbolt (Alemania), CDI (Lima), Actas del Congreso de la Sociedad Iberoamericana de Historia de la Fotografía (Buenos Aires), Fotograma (Montevideo).

En el año 2005 fueron los curadores de la exposición "Max T. Vargas y Emilio Díaz, dos figuras fundacionales de la fotografía en el sur andino peruano (1896-1926)", que reunió más de 250 fotografías originales de la época en la galería Germán Kürger del Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano de Lima.
