Peruvian National Trust Fund for Parks and Protected Areas (PROFONANPE) is a private non-profit making institution whose aim is to procure stable and long-term financing for the conservation of Perú`s biological diversity through the raising, mangement and channelling of financial resources destined for the maintenance of natural protected areas (ANP) and their buffer zones.
Since 1997 PROFONANPE has been the origanization in charge of the "Machu Picchu Program", which is the result of the "Agreement for Conversation of ConcesionalCredits into Commitements to nature and Social Development" signed by the governments of both Finland and Peru.
